In the fourth grade, when I should have been taking computer/typing classes-- I was taking violin classes instead. I learned how to read the language of music when I missed learning the language of code with my peers. Aside from educational PC games and web forums I don't have much tech savvy. I can find my way around social media, but I would not say that I'm the ripest when it comes to finding my way around my computer. I also have experience with Word (when it is in MLA or APA format) because of the school environment.
I think that just by being enrolled in this class am I making progress. I want to be able to use technology as efficiently as it allows me to. I feel as though technology is already a convenient thing for me, if I knew my ins an outs, it would probably feel something super human for me. I am enticed by lynda dot com because I want to learn the ropes of ableton live, the music program. Music is very important to me. I feel cleansed when I listen to sweet melodies, and how liberating would it be for me to make my own! It's funny that even with this computer class I still want to learn music. I also wonder if we'll learn anything about typing. My typing is sort of embarrassing, because I don't use my fingers as much as I should.
As for printing my screen, I press command + p on Mac and ctrl + p on the PC. I can also use the grab or snippet app. Here is a picture that I have taken. I know what I said I did was done correctly, but I am also not sure if this is what is being asked for.
I look forward to seeing your growth this semester.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you'd like to try mixing music with Audicity (free on PC) or Garageband (Mac) with lyrics for an ILP.
